Information you provide us:
We collect and use your personal data (information which identifies you, including details such as name, address, contact number or email address). We only collect the personal data we need, and we will make it clear at the point of collection why we are requesting information.
You may give us information when completing online forms (mailing list subscription, enquiry forms), paper registration forms during training days and events. Some examples of the information that we collect and how we use it include:
Mailing List signup form on website:
You have the option to sign-up to our mailing list to receive latest company and product news through email newsletters. The online form requires your first name, last name, email and company name (optional).
Newsletters: We send out regular emails and newsletters (usually on a monthly/bi-monthly basis) that provide customers and installers with up-to-date information about our products, latest news and events etc. You are required to join our mailing list for subscription to our newsletter and email correspondence. You will be required to supply your email address if you would like to receive our newsletters.
Mailing List subscription: There are various ways in which you can subscribe to our mailing list. You can complete the ‘join our mailing list’ form on our website; email us using the enquiry form on the website and request to be added; complete our training course and select the ‘opt in’ option on the registration form. To join the mailing list, you will be required to supply us with your email address. We may also ask you to provide us with other information about yourself, including name, address and company details so that we can personalise the information to suit your requirements.
Website or Technical services enquires: You may contact us through our website enquiry form or contact our technical services helpline. Depending on the nature of your enquiry, you may be required to supply the following personal data; Name, Address, Email Address, Telephone . The information collected is only used to respond to your query or enquiry.
Cure It Training registration: To book a place on our training courses, you will be required to complete a registration booking form and provide payment. Your details are required to make a booking and are collected through Eventbrite (third party company). We will only use these details to inform you about the training event. You will be required to complete a registration form at the beginning of the training course. The data is recorded for reference purposes only to validate an individual’s attendance on the course. The data is only used for marketing purposes if it has been requested on the form. We request the following information; Name, Company Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address, Company Website.1
Information we collect about you
- When visiting our website, we may automatically collect the following information:Your name and contact details (including email address and occasionally telephone number and address).
- Technical information from your visit, including the IP address used to connect your computer/device to the internet, browser type, devise used, operating system and platform.
- Information about your visit including pages you have visited, time spent on the site and your regional location and language when visiting the site. We also collect data through Google Analytics including user demographics, user interests and visit traffic flow and analysis during a browsing session on our website.
How we use this information
We will be processing your data under the lawful bases for processing set out in Article 6 of the GDPR. In this case:
(a) Consent: the individual has given clear consent for you to process their personal data for a specific purpose.
We will use your personal data for the purposes outlined at the time you gave it to us. This may have been during the registration process for our training course, or when signing up to our mailing list.

- For operational and functional purposes, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, improving visitor experience and research.
- To develop our site, ensuring that content is delivered in the most effective and user-friendly way for our audience and browser devices.

Information we receive from other sources
On occasions we may receive your data from business partners or our product stockists, to whom you may have given your details with permission for them to send it to us. An example of this could be a request for us to register you for our training course.
Disclosure and sharing information
We may share your data with other third parties who we have contracts with to securely use/store that data for the purposes described above on our behalf such as our IT service providers, MailChimp etc.
Storing your personal data
We will only use and store your information for as long as it is required and for the purposes it was collected. When you trust us with your data we will keep your information secure to maintain your confidentiality. Personal data is stored securely, and we have robust processes in place for managing and protecting data sources.
How long is your information kept for?
We keep your information for no longer than is necessary for the purposes it was collected for. The length of time we retain your personal information for is determined by operational and legal considerations.
Handling your personal data
G & B North West takes security measures in line with data protection regulations. Only authorised G & B North West employees, and authorised employees of our Third-Party service providers’ processing data on our behalf, have access to your personal data. All employees who have access to your personal data are required to adhere to the G & B North West Privacy guidelines.
Withdrawal of consent
Where you have given consent for us to use your personal data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time and request that we no longer contact you for direct marketing purposes. To stop receiving an email from us or update your personal preferences, you will find unsubscribe and preference links at the footer of all our email correspondence. Alternatively, you can contact us and request to remove your personal information from our database.
The right of transparency (right to be informed)
You have a right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data. We have an obligation to be transparent and provide you with this information freely and in an easy to understand format. You may contact us if you want to know more about any aspect of how we handle your personal information.
